Men’s Basketball announces 2024-25 schedule

Beavers to kick-off season with exhibition game against Golden Gophers

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Basketball announced their 2024-25 schedule which begins with an exhibition game against the University of Minnesota Twin Cities on Oct. 19. The team is set to start its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule in December.
 
The Beavers head to the Twin Cities for a lone exhibition game against the Golden Gophers on Oct. 19. Three weeks later, the team travels to Kansas City, Mo. to compete in the Central Region Challenge against University of Central Missouri and University of Arkansas-Monticello on Nov. 8 and 9, respectively. The Beavers start their home schedule on Nov. 13 when Valley City State University comes to Bemidji, followed by University of Minnesota Morris on Nov. 19. Closing out November, the Beavers head to Barry University and Lynn University in Southern Florida on Nov. 26 and 27.
 
Bemidji State's NSIC schedule ramps up in December, starting with a weekend road trip to Crookston, Minn. and Minot, N.D. on Dec. 6 and 7. The Beavers then host three games, Northern State University on Dec. 13, Minnesota State University Moorhead on Dec. 14 and St. Cloud State University on Dec. 19. The team will then head to Bismarck, N.D. on Dec. 21 to close out the first half of the season against the University of Mary Marauders. 
 
Action begins for the 2025 half of the season on Jan. 3 and 4 when the Beavers host Wayne State College and Augustana University, respectively. The Beavers follow this series up with a four-game road trip which begins with a stop in Mankato, Minn. to take on the Minnesota State University Mankato Mavericks on Jan. 10. The following day, the Beavers will head East to Winona, Minn. for a matchup against Winona State University. On Jan. 17 and 18, the team is set to travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth and Concordia University, St. Paul, respectively. The Beavers return home on Jan. 24 and 25 to play host to Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Sioux Falls. A quick trip to St. Cloud, Minn. on the 28th is followed by hosting UMary on 30th to finish January. 
 
The Beavers are set to host one home game against the Golden Eagles Feb. 4. They'll then head on the road for three games, the first at Northern State on Feb. 8, followed by Augustana and Wayne State Feb. 14-15. The team finishes the season at home by hosting Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota Duluth Feb. 21 and 22, before potentially appearing in the NSIC tournament which begins Feb. 26. The NSIC's semifinals and championship rounds are set for Mar. 1-3, followed by the NCAA tournament Mar. 13-15.
 
Returning to the Beavers' lineup is 2023-24 scoring leader John Sutherland. Sutherland tallied 559 points for the Beavers last season and averaged 20 points-per-game. Alongside Sutherland, Brayden Williams and Tate Olson will also be back in the green and white. The fourth and fifth place scorers last season, Williams and Olson totaled 408 points between the pair.
