  • The Beavers and Cougars have met just seven times since 1982. The Cougars took game one while the Beavers came back with a vengeance the following year, tying the series 1-1. 42 years later, the Cougars have the series lead, 4-3, but the Beavers have claimed two-straight wins.
  • Wide receiver Bubba Peters currently sits in first place among all NCAA Division II receivers for receiving touchdowns (7) and fifth in receiving yards (308).
  • The Beaver offense ranks ninth in the NCAA for fourth down conversion percentage (.844) and first downs offense (64).
  • The team is also in the top 25 for time of possession (11th), 3rd down conversion pct. (16th), rushing offense (16th), fumbles recovered (25th) and punt returns (25th).
  • Last week, six Beavers found points for the team, shutting out SMSU 33-0. Jarrett Gronski, Jayden Washington and Antonio Brown each grabbed rushing touchdowns, Sam McGath and Brice Peters combined for two through the air and Joey Prondzinski added three points on point after kicks.
  • The Beavers are averaging 27 points per game while allowing just 14.67 to their opponents. They also lead opponents with 64 total first downs, 27 rushing, 30 passing and seven from penalties, versus their opponents 45.
  • Jayden Washington leads the rushing game for the Beavers, averaging 68 yards per game and marking his first touchdown of the season last week.
  • Sam McGath and Bubba Peters have dominated the airways with seven passing/receiving touchdowns. McGath has totalled 615 yards passing for an average of 205 per game while Peters has grabbed 308 receiving yards for 102.67 yards per game.

Sioux Falls Notes
  • USF has received votes in the AFCA Coaches Poll, but has not been able to crack the top 25 this season.
  • The Cougars are undefeated this season, including a 34-13 victory over NCAA Division I FCS opponent University of St. Thomas.
  • Last weekend, the Cougars had a close battle with the University of Mary Marauders, ultimately clinching the 35-33 win.
  • Sioux Falls has averaged 34.33 points per game and has held their opposition to 18.67 points per game.
  • On the ground, the Beavers will need to watch out for Camden Dean and Dylan Rudningen who have grabbed 221 yards (2 TD) and 138 yards (4 TD) rushing for the Cougars this season, respectively.
  • In the air, Dean has gained an additional 561 yards with five passing touchdowns.
  • On the receiving end of Dean's passes, Carter Slykhuis has totalled 270 yards with a pair of touchdowns, averaging 90 yards per game.
  • On the opposite side of the ball, Matt Goehring has grabbed 18 total tackles with 1.5 tackles for a loss, one interception, one pass breakup and one QB hurry.
