COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Track and Field team travels to the CSB/SJU Open hosted by the College of Saint Benedict.
The event kicks off with field events starting at 4 p.m. in the shotput bay. The Beavers have eight throwers scheduled for shotput and five lined up for the weight throw. Jumps and vaults are set to begin at 4:30 p.m. with Mille Rosaeg and Natalie Hoffner jumping the high jump and
Abbie Disbrow in the long jump.
Olivia Olson and
Chloe Knott are lined up for the pole vault, set in the fifth and seventh positions, respectively.
Track events begin at 4:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdle preliminary races, where
Reese Turner is entered to race. The 60-meter dash preliminaries kick off at 4:40 p.m. with Rosaeg, Disbrow, Turner, Knott and
Jayden Wodarz set to race. The 200-meter, 400-meter, 800-meter and 100-meter races will follow. Beaver distance runners will have their opportunity at 4:55 with the mile race and
Maggie McCarthy will compete in the 3000-meter race at 6:35 p.m.
Following the weekend, the Beavers head to the North Dakota State University Bison Open Feb. 7 and 8 in Fargo, N.D. They'll then compete for two more weekends before the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship in Mankato, Minn. on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1.
