(RV) Beavers bring win streak on the road to Northern State and Jamestown

BSU Women’s Soccer makes final road trip of regular season to Northern State and Jamestown

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The (RV) Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team puts its four-match win streak and eight-match unbeaten streak (6-0-2) to the test this weekend as the Beavers make their final road trip of the regular season.
 
The Beavers (10-2-3, 8-1-3 NSIC) begin the weekend traveling to Aberdeen, S.D., to face Northern State University Friday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. BSU then travels north to Jamestown, N.D., to face-off with new Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference member University of Jamestown for the first time since 2009 Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
Each match will be exclusively streamed online at the NSICNetwork.com.
 
The Beavers were ranked in the first NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Regional rankings of the season this week and is one of 10 teams under consideration in the NCAA Central Region rankings. The Beavers also entered the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 national poll for the first time his season and are receiving votes.
 
With just three matches remaining in the regular season, the Beavers currently are tied for second in the NSIC standings with 27 conference points and hold the tie breaker over St. Cloud State University. The Beavers have clinched a spot in the NSIC Tournament for the 16th consecutive season.
 
The NSIC Soccer Tournament structure shall consist of eight teams. The top four seeds shall host the first-round games on Monday of the tournament week, with the winners advancing to the semifinal and championship round on Friday and Sunday in a bracketed format. There will be no reseeding following the first-round games. The tournament winner shall be awarded the NSIC tournament trophy and NCAA AQ. Placement in the tournament shall be determined by the regular season standings.

The conference tournament shall be held on campus sites for the first round, followed by the semifinal and championship rounds at the campus of the highest remaining seed.
 
Bemidji State is 16-14-4 all-time against Northern State and 6-5-2 against Jamestown. The Beavers are 7-9-0 when facing the Wolves in Aberdeen and 2-3-2 against the Jimmies in Jamestown.
