BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Hockey sophomore goaltender
Kaitlin Groess was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Goaltender of the Week for the weekend of No. 7-8 after helping the Beavers split their home series with No. 14 University of St. Thomas.

Groess started Saturday's series finale versus the Tommies where she stopped 27-of-28 shots she faced as the Beavers upset the 14
th-ranked Tommies 2-1. Groess was excellent between the pipes topping the first 24 Tommie shots in the game before surrendering the first goal against with 4:06 to play. The Ham Lake, Minn., native earned her third victory of the season as BSU upset a ranked opponent for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

She was joined by St. Thomas' Rylee Bartz (Forward) and Jenessa Gazdik (Defender) as WCHA Players of the Week.
