BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University football is set to close the 2025 season by hosting the University of Mary 1 p.m. Saturday at Chet Anderson Stadium.
Bemidji State Notes
- Bemidji State enters the final weekend of its season at 3-7 overall with a 3-6 record in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
- Last weekend, the Beavers fell to then No. 13/10 University of Minnesota Duluth, 42-28, to close out the road portion of their schedule.
- Quarterback Connor Carver remains the top rusher for the Beavers, totaling 725 net rushing yards on 97 attempts over nine games. The redshirt sophomore has ran the ball for a team-leading eight touchdowns with a long rush of 71 yards.
- Through the air, Bart McAninch leads the charge with a 141.06 passer rating, going 95-141-7 with 1050 passing yards and nine touchdowns thrown. McAninch is ranked 10th in the NCAA for completion percentage, currently boasting a 67.38 percentage.
- On the receiving end of those passes, Drayton Lehman leads the team with 526 receiving yards on 54 receptions. Lehman earned his second touchdown of the season against UMD.
- Defensively, senior defensive back Caden Bolte leads the team with 65 total tackles, marking 47 solo and 18 assisted. He hass accumulated 5.5 tackles for a loss, one interception, eight breakups, one hurry, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and a safety.
- Against Minnesota Duluth, defensive end Tyler Sapit set the Beavers' all-time record for single-game TFL yards, grabbing 26 yards off one sack.
- Connor Carver and specialist Connor Mantelli lead the team's scoring efforts, combining for 98 total points of nine touchdowns from Carver while Mantelli has posted five field goals and 29 PAT kicks.
- The Beavers will end their season with UMary Saturday before preparations begin for the 100th season of Bemidji State University Football.
UMary Notes
- University of Mary comes into the weekend after a senior-day loss to Winona State University at home last week. The Marauders now sit at 4-6 overall and 3-6 in the conference.
- The Marauders boast one of the top passing offenses in the country, sitting at ninth in the NCAA and second behind Minnesota State University Moorhead in the NSIC. The UMary offense averages 296.2 passing yards per game with a team passing efficiency of 144.41.
- Jordan Polo Solomon leads the Marauders' passing efforts with 116 completions for 1390 yards and 10 touchdowns. Polo Solomon average 198.57 passing yards per game with a 63.4 completion percentage.
- On the receiving end, efforts are spread with five receivers marking 100 or more receiving yards and seven scoring at least one touchdown. Damani Wilks leads the team with 833 yards on 47 attempts, averaging 83.30 yards per game. Leading the scoring, Luke Bodine has grabbed nine touchdown receptions among his 649 yards and 58 receptions.
- Xavier Brackenridge leads UMary on the ground attack with 488 yards, scoring three times. Andrew Trandahl leads the scoring efforts on the ground with five touchdowns, averaging 16.60 yards per game.
- Defensively, Christopher Federico and Tuakoi Mahe lead the Marauders with 63 and 62 total tackles, respectively. Mahe leads the team with 50 solo tackles while Federico is tied for second with 47. Mahe also leads from behind the line of scrimmage, marking 26 TFL yards with 7.5 tackles for a loss, two of which were marked as sacks.
- Abram Jopp leads the program with three interceptions this season.
