BSU’s final weekend of 2025 season hosts No. 6 CSP and WSU

Beavers host Golden Bears and Warriors for Senior Day and season finale

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Volleyball is set to finish its 2025 campaign Friday and Saturday, hosting No. 6 Concordia University, St. Paul and Winona State University, respectively. On Friday, the Beavers will celebrate the senior class of Zayda Priebe, Kylie Struble and Jada Wlodarczyk pre-match.
 
The Beavers enter the weekend at 7-19 overall with a 4-14 record in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. At home, the Beavers are sitting at an even .500 at 4-4. Four of the past six matches have been tough battles for Bemidji State against American Volleyball Coaches Association ranked opponents. BSU has won two sets and lost 18 over this six-match losing streak. 
 
Senior Kylie Struble leads the Beaver defense in digs, marking 293 this season and leading her next closest teammates by just shy of 100 digs. At the net, freshman Karley Dunham leads, grabbing 65 total blocks and averaging .75 per set. She has earned 12 solo and 53 assisted over 87 sets. Offensively, sophomore Lily Riese takes the top scoring spot with 328 total kills. Riese has earned 3.42 kills per set with 902 attempts. Assisting her on many of those kills was setter Madison Tripp with 599 assists during her first season in the Green & White. At the service line Struble joins Ava Athman at the top of the leader board with 26 aces each. 
 
Ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division II, CSP holds a 22-4 overall record, holding second in the conference at 17-1. The Golden Bears are currently on an 11-match winning streak which began Oct. 11 at University of Sioux Falls. Since the start of this streak, CSP has dropped just one set on Nov. 4 against then No. 10 St. Cloud State University. CSP closes the regular season Saturday at RV University of Minnesota Duluth. 
 
The Golden Bear offense is led by Makenna Nold, marking 377 total kills, 4.33 kills per set and a .276 attack percentage. In total, four Golden Bears have grabbed 200 or more kills this season. Setting for CSP, Reagan Hickey leads with 634 assists while Audrey Waterman follows with 442. At the service line, three Golden Bears, Nold, Cassie Sieling and Ellie Sieling, have 30 or more aces with Nold leading at 39. Defensively, the Sieling twins lead the team with a combined 637 digs, Cassie Sieling leading with 363. Nold also leads at the net with 77 total blocks, leading in assisted blocks at 70. CSP's solo-blocking leader is Mehlayna Straub at 18 solo stops this season. 
 
The Warriors are sitting at 15-11 this season with a 10-8 NSIC record. WSU holds ninth in the NSIC behind UMD and ahead of Augustana University. Currently on a two-match winning streak, WSU has won five of their last six matches, sweeping all five. Before finishing the regular season in Bemidji, the Warriors will head to UMD Friday evening to take on the Bulldogs.
 
Leading the offensive for WSU is Kenna Kornely with 326 total kills this season, marking 3.66 per set and an attack percentage of .159. She has added 19 aces, 197 digs and 33 total blocks. Ashlyn Steding leads WSU's assist efforts with 510 total assists this season. Steding also leads at the service line, grabbing 30 total aces. Defensively, Anna Hennessy leads with 364 digs and Gianna Vollrath takes the top blocking spot at a perfect 100 total blocks. 
 
Both matches this weekend are available on the NSIC Network while Friday's can also be streamed on the Beaver Radio Network.
