JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team dominated the University of Jamestown 6-0 on Sunday at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium in Jamestown, N.D. The Beavers won their sixth consecutive match and secured home field advantage for the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Soccer Tournament.
 
Bemidji State took control early in the first half, with 
Ella Wade scoring in the sixth minute following a corner kick to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. 
Katrina Barthelt extended the lead to 2-0 in the 11th minute, assisted by Wade. 
Grace Kittel and 
Briana Stocke added goals in the 39th and 40th minutes respectively, with 
Marielle Wright assisting Kittel's goal and Kittel returning the favor for Stocke. The Jimmies' attempts to respond were thwarted by Bemidji State's defense, with 
Sonia Alfieri making key saves to maintain a 4-0 advantage at the end of the half.
 
Bemidji State extended their lead with two goals in the second half, securing a decisive victory over the Jimmies. 
Kenzie Harer scored in the 64th minute, assisted by Barthelt, to make it 5-0. Kittel added the final goal in the 70th minute with an assist from Harer, concluding the scoring at 6-0. Sonia Alfiere and 
Payton Kropp combined to make five saves and earn the clean sheet for the Beavers.
 
Barthelt contributed significantly with one goal and one assist, and she recorded four shots, three of which were on goal. Wade added to her highlight reel by scoring a goal and providing an assist, with her goal being the game-winner. Kittel stood out by scoring two goals and adding an assist, finishing with four shots on goal. 
Madisen Fritel led the team in shot attempts with four, two of which were on target.
 
The Beavers remain tied with St. Cloud State University for the second seed in the NSIC Tournament and can secure the second seed with a victory in the regular season finale Thursday. The Beavers will either finish second or third in the conference standings securing home field advantage in the first round of the conference tournament.
 
Bemidji State (12-2-3, 10-1-3 NSIC) concludes the regular season at home Thursday by hosting University of Minnesota Duluth at 5 p.m.
