BEMIDJI, Mich. – Bemidji State University sophomore Kasper Magnussen was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Forward of the Week after helping the Beavers to five-of-six points at Michigan Technological University this past weekend.
 
Magnussen earns his first CCHA weekly award after pacing all CCHA skaters in goals (3) and points (4) last week, leading Bemidji State to a five-point weekend at Michigan Tech's Winter Carnival. He netted three power-play tallies, including a game-winner, with eight shots on goal and one block defensively. On Friday, he had one goal and one assist in a 5-3 Beavers win, before netting a pair of goals in a 6-5 overtime triumph on Saturday.
 
He joined Minnesota State's Mason Wheeler (Defenseman), St. Thomas' Jake Sibell (Goaltender) and Michigan Tech's Elias Jansson (Rookie) as weekly award winners for Feb. 10.
