BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Bemidji State University Track and Field finished the South Dakota State University Jackrabbit Indoor Classic with multiple personal records and top-10 finishes.
Reese Turner marked personal bests in both of her events, the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash, marking 8.37 seconds in the 60-meter qualifiers and 27.69 in the 200. Kylee Morton took sixth in the women's 300 with a time of 44.07 seconds, a personal best for the freshman. She also grabbed a second PR in the 400 at 1:03.66.
Makenna Frazier added to the PR list with an 8
th-place finish in the 300 at 45.51 seconds,
Hailey Selly also PR'ed in the same race at 47.36 seconds.
Adding to the personal-best-weekend lineup,
Ava Werner grabbed PRs in the 800-meter run and mile run at times of 2:31.32 and 5:49.93, respectively. Competing in the third meet of her career,
Aspen Rohde marked career bests in the 800- and 1000-meters, taking 10
th in the 1000-meter run with 3:20.40.
Callie Ressler followed Rohde in the 1000 with 3:44.15, taking 11
th. The distance medley team finished fifth overall with a final time of 12:42.35.
On the field side of the meet,
Mikenna Pattrin continues to improve week by week. She grabbed third in both shot put and weight throw with a weight-throw personal best of 16.29 meters (53'5.5").
Zoe Lennon also grabbed a personal best in the weight throw at 11.16 meters (36'7.5").
Next weekend, the Beavers head to Grand Forks, N.D. for the University of North Dakota Tune Up before heading to Mankato, Minn. for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships, hosted by Minnesota State University Mankato.
