GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Bemidji State University Track and Field team grabbed 12 personal bests and three season bests at the University of North Dakota Tune Up on Friday.
The running unit for BSU started strong with a pair of personal bests from
Reese Turner and
Jayden Wodarz in the 60-meter dash preliminaries. Mille Rosaeg then added her own, marking a best in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries, then topping that best by 0.02 seconds and grabbing sixth in the finals.
Kylie Morton and
Reese Turner added season bests in the 200-meter dash, while
Jayden Wodarz found her best time in the event at 28.59 seconds. In the 300-meter dash,
Makenna Frazier cracked the top five with a 44.78 time, her personal best as well.
Sylve Waters came in just behind Frazier at sixth and
Hailey Selly PRed at 46.99 seconds, taking seventh.
In the mid- and long-distance events,
Ava Werner found her best in the 800-meter run at 2:29.72.
Maggie McCarthy and
Sydnie Price also improved their records with times of 5:17.94 and 5:57.94 in the mile run, respectively. The Beavers' 4x400 relay team of
Josie Aitken,
Kylie Morton,
Sophie Rylance and
Maggie McCarthy found a season best of 4:09.26.
Callie Ressler finished the running portion in the 3000-meter run with a personal best of 12:20.92.
Mille Rosaeg's name found the top three of the high jump board, taking second with 1.48 meters (4-10.25). In the shot put circle,
Zayda Priebe grabbed a personal record of 12.53 meters, claiming seventh in the final lineup. Also cracking the top ten, this time in weight throw, was
Maya Wagner at 13.74 meters.
The Beavers will now head to Mankato, Minn. for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships, hosted by Minnesota State University Mankato, next weekend. Information on the Championship meet can be found on the BSU Beavers website or NSIC website.
