BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team celebrated the careers of its seven seniors Saturday afternoon in its Western Collegiate Hockey Association series finale against No. 1 University of Wisconsin at Sanford Center. The top-ranked Badgers spoiled the Beavers' celebration winning 6-1 and claiming the series sweep.

Junior
Raeley Carney scored the Beavers' lone goal int he game her fifth of the season opening the scoring 7:59 into the game and put the Beavers up 1-0 early on.Â
Bemidji State carried the one-goal lead into the first intermission but the Badgers seperated themselves in the second scoring four times in the period and added two more in the third to runaway with the 6-1 victory.Â
Freshman
Kaitlin Groess made 28 saves for the Beavers as they end the 2024-25 regular season with a 6-28-1 (4-24-0 WCHA) record. Bemidji State will now prepare to hit the road for the first round of the WCHA Playoffs and will see the Badgers again next weekend in Madison, Wis., for a best-of-three series beginning Friday, Feb. 28.
