BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Hockey junior defenseman
Vince Corcoran was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defenseman of the Week after helping the Beavers upset Augustana University in the first round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs.
Corcoran paced CCHA blueliners with three points dishing out three helpers in seventh-seed Bemidji State's upset of second-seed Augustana in three games. He had four shots on goal and one block defensive, setting up two Beavers' tallies on Saturday in a 4-3 win. He then assisted on Bemidji State's tying goal in a 3-2 overtime victory on Sunday.
Corcoran and the rest of the Beavers prepare for the CCHA Mason Cup Semifinal this week and travel to Minnesota State University, Mankato for a single-elimination game Saturday, March 15.
