Lynch adds Jordan Taylor to Beaver TF coaching staff

National competitor, Jordan Taylor, joins BSU Track and Field as Sprints/Hurdles Coach

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Track and Field has announced the addition of Jordan Taylor to its coaching staff. Taylor will work as the sprints and hurdles coach during the 2025-26 season.
 
"We are excited to announce the hiring of our new assistant coach, a former NCAA qualifier & All-American in the sprints Jordan Taylor," said Head Coach Mike Lynch. "She brings a strong competitive background and a passion for athlete development and adds valuable experience to the sprints, hurdles, jumps program. Jordan has a very good work ethic and technical expertise on the track, she will help elevate the team's performance through focused training, mentorship, and a championship mindset. With the addition of Jordan to the staff, the team is really set up to take off this next season.  She is the missing piece we have been looking to take this team to new heights! Jordan will be the sprints, hurdles, jumps assistant as well as overseeing most of the relays on the team."

Taylor spent the past five years as a sprinter at the University of Findlay. During her graduate student season this past year, she assisted the coaching staff with managing and analyzing student-athlete data, reviewing workout plans, and assisting with coaching other student-athletes. 

Taylor began her coaching career as a speed camp instructor for Verhoff Athletics in 2023-24. There, she led sprinting drills and training exercises, trained on proper techniques and instructed over 100 athletes in sprints, broad jump, pro-agility and more. 

A decorated sprinter at Findlay, Taylor is an All-American in relays and the 200m dash. She was a national qualifier in both outdoor and indoor relays and the outdoor 200m dash for the past two seasons. During her collegiate career, she marked bests of 7.41 seconds in the 60m dash, 11.38 in the 100m, 23.23 in the 200m, 39.17 in the 300m and 55.28 in the 400m dash. Throughout her career, she significantly improved her bests by one second in the 100m and two seconds in the 200m.
