Volleyball gains recruiting coordinator in Damien Fox

Bute adds experienced recruiter and coach, Damien Fox, to Beaver Volleyball staff

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Beaver Volleyball Head Coach Erika Bute announced Friday the hiring of Recruiting Coordinator Damien Fox.

"We're thrilled to bring Damien on board as our recruiting coordinator," said Head Coach Erika Bute. "I've known him for many years in the volleyball world and he brings a wealth of coaching experience and a strong understanding of the game. He's going to play a crucial role in shaping the future of our program and I'm excited to work alongside him as we continue to build something special here at Bemidji State."

Spending six years with St. Olaf College, Fox assisted with the recruiting process, playing a large role in St. Olaf's procurement on new student-athletes from March 2018 until February 2024. Along with his recruiting work, Fox assisted with coaching student-athletes and creating scouting reports. Prior to this, he served as the assistant coach for Lakeville North High School Volleyball and served in head and assistant coaching rolls with Northern Lights Volleyball.

Fox also has been a camp coach at the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin, Pacesetter Sports, Northern Lights Volleyball and Midwest Volleyball instructors for the past 12 years.

Fox holds a master's degree in educational leadership from St. Mary's University along with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Winona State University.
