BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team concludes non-conference action this weekend and travels East across Highway 2 for match-up against regional rival University of Minnesota Duluth Friday, Sept. 12. The Beavers (1-1-0, 0-0-0 NSIC) and Bulldogs (1-0-1, 0-0-0 NSIC) will meet at James S. Malosky Stadium Friday with kick-off slated for 6 p.m.

Minnesota Duluth will put together a special promotion for the match called Kicks For Causes which aims to bring social awareness causes chosen by its student-athletes. Friday's campaign kicks-off with senior forward Maria Zanotti who has chosen Alzheimer's Association to highlight.

Bemidji State is 10-16-5 all-time against the Bulldogs but have had the most recent success in the all-time series. The Beavers are 7-0-2 over their last nine meetings including an active six-match winning streak dating back to 2018. Minnesota Duluth's last win against BSU came on Halloween of 2014. The Beavers are returning to Minnesota after a split weekend in Missouri. The Beavers opened the 2025 season falling to (RV) Missouri Western State University 2-0 but rebounded with a 1-0 win over Northwest Missouri State University on Sunday. Senior
Katrina Barthelt scored the Beavers' lone goal over the weekend just 104 seconds after the opening whistle against the Bearcats. Sophomore
Rozlyn Buettner also earned her first collegiate shutout in the match making five saves. Defenders
Julia Freed and
Emma Huelsnitz each played every match over the weekend while defender
Maggie Kramers followed with 148 minutes played.
