SIOUX Falls, S.D. — The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team and Augustana University played to a scoreless draw Friday night at Morstad Field. Both teams registered nine shots, with Bemidji State placing five on target. Bemidji State's goalkeeper
Sonia Alfieri recorded six saves to secure the shutout, while the Vikings' goalkeeper made five stops.

The first half between Bemidji State and the Vikings ended scoreless. Augustana applied early pressure with a corner kick at 4:55, but Bemidji State responded with a shot from
Madeline Davey that went just wide in the 12th minute.
Katrina Barthelt's aggressive play resulted in two fouls, impacting Bemidji State's momentum. Alfieri made crucial saves against shots from Grace Katter and Madelyn White, keeping the home team off the scoreboard. Despite several attempts, including a near miss by
Kenzie Harer that hit the top woodwork, both teams remained tied at halftime.

The second half opened with a shot on goal by Augustana's Paige Bracker at 47:09, which was saved by Alfieri. Bemidji State responded with multiple shots, including efforts from
Megan Ko at 52:13 and
Breanna Weilert at 55:12, both saved by Baker. The Vikings' Madelyn White attempted to break the deadlock with a shot at 71:34, but her effort went out top left. The period concluded scoreless, with both teams unable to capitalize on their opportunities, leaving the final score at 0-0.

Alfieri recorded six saves over 90 minutes, securing a shutout for Bemidji State. Barthelt led the team with three shots, one of which was on goal.
Sydney Sutherland and Ko each contributed with a shot on goal, adding pressure to the opposing defense.

Bemidji State holds a record of 4-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play keeping its unbeaten streak intact. Augustana stands at 4-0-2 overall with a 2-0-1 mark in conference play.

The Beavers next travel to Wayne State College for a conference match against the Wildcats Sunday at 1 p.m.
