Beavers to host Mustangs and Cougars before returning to the road for first time in a month

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Men's Basketball is set to close its holiday-break homestand with a pair of games against Southwest Minnesota State University and University of Sioux Falls. Friday's tipoff against SMSU is set for 5:30 p.m. and Saturday's at 3:30 p.m. from the BSU Gymnasium.

Bemidji State Notes

He also leads the NSIC in points per game and is seventh in both free throws and free-throw percentage.
  • Henry Shannon III has proved to be a force against shooters, leading the conference and taking 10th in the NCAA for blocks with 29. Shannon also leads the conference in time on the court, averaging just over 35 minutes per game.
  • Eddie Hedqvist has found his groove with the Beavers, quickly moving to the number one spot in the conference for three-point percentage, taking 10th in three-point attempts and second in threes per game behind Pecarich.
  • Following this weekend at home, the Beavers will take to the road for the first time since December 13 when they travel to St. Cloud State University and Minnesota State University Mankato on January 16 and 17.

Southwest Minnesota State Notes
  • The Mustangs enter the weekend on a low after snapping their six-game win streak with a loss at home against USF, 81-78. Following Friday's matchup, they'll head to the Northeast corner of the state to take on Minnesota Duluth Saturday afternoon.
