BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team returns to Chet Anderson Stadium for a challenging Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference weekend against No. 7 Minnesota State University, Mankato and St. Cloud State University. The Beavers begin the weekend by hosting the nationally ranked Mavericks Friday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m., before facing the Huskies Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. Bemidji State enters the weekend 4-2-3 overall and 3-1-2 in conference play.
The Beavers are coming off a 0-1-1 road weekend at Minot State University and the University of Mary. Bemidji State battled Minot State to a 1-1 draw Friday night after sophomore defender

Ella Wade assisted on the goal, while freshman goalkeeper
Emma Marzean made a career-high eight saves.
Bemidji State then suffered its first conference loss of the season Sunday afternoon after falling 2-0 at UMary. The Beavers placed four of their five shots on goal but were unable to solve Marauders goalkeeper Kadyn Dilger. Junior goalkeeper
Rozlyn Buettner made two saves for BSU, while UMary scored twice during the second half to earn the victory.
The Beavers have outscored their opponents 10-6 through nine matches and have held five opponents without a goal. Bemidji State enters the weekend unbeaten at Chet Anderson Stadium with a 3-0-1 home record, earning victories over Northwest Missouri State University, Wayne State College and Augustana University and a scoreless draw against Missouri Western State University.
Wade leads the Beavers' balanced attack with six points off one goal and four assists. Senior
Megan Ko follows with four points from one goal and two assists, while Schwoch has scored twice to lead the team in goals. Nine different Beavers have found the back of the net this season, while 11 have contributed at least one point.
Bemidji State has continued to rotate its three goalkeepers throughout the season. Buettner leads the group in starts and saves, while Marzean has made three starts and recorded eight saves in the Beavers' draw at Minot State leading the team in wins. Sophomore
Payton Kropp has also contributed to a BSU goalkeeping unit that has helped the Beavers record five clean sheets through their first nine matches with two herself.
The Beavers open the weekend against No. 7 Minnesota State in a matchup between two of the NSIC's perennial contenders. The Mavericks hold a 16-4-5 advantage in the all-time series, but the Beavers have remained competitive recently with two wins and four draws over the last 10 meetings. The teams battled to a 2-2 draw last season in Mankato, while Minnesota State earned a 3-0 victory during its most recent trip to Bemidji in 2024.
Bemidji State concludes the weekend Sunday against St. Cloud State. The Huskies enter the weekend with a 2-2-2 conference record after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 1-0 and battling the University of Sioux Falls to a 2-2 draw during their previous weekend of competition. St. Cloud State travels to the University of Minnesota Duluth Friday night before making the trip to Bemidji.
The Beavers are 14-11-4 in the all-time series against St. Cloud State and have earned wins in five of the last 10 meetings. The teams most recently met in the 2025 NSIC Tournament Championship match, battling to a scoreless draw before St. Cloud State advanced by winning the penalty-kick shootout. BSU has won the last two meetings played in Bemidji, including a 2-0 victory during the 2023 season.
