BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University finishes the 2025-26 season with a split away-and-home weekend against Minnesota State University Moorhead and University of Minnesota Crookston. Tipoff Saturday in Bemidji is set for 3:30 p.m. with the Beavers celebrating senior day and honoring
Henry Shannon III prior to the game.
Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products to Saturday's game as the Beavers partner with Lueken's Village Foods for another Bucky's Pantry food drive. Donations from the drive go to the on-campus food shelf that aids members of Beaver Territory struggling with food insecurity. Fans can also take part in the fun of the final game by dressing to impress with their best beach day attire!
After a loss to University of Jamestown last weekend, the Beavers fell out of contention for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference playoffs. BSU sits at 8-17 overall and 5-15 in the conference. Last weekend, the Beavers split their weekend against UJ and Northern State University, defeating NSU 86-71. Against NSU,
Henry Shannon III reached the 1,500-points scored marker for his career and is now eight blocks away from the Beavers' single season blocking record.
The Dragons sit at a record of 12-14 this season with a 9-11 conference record. MSUM also split last weekend, defeating University of Mary 75-69 and falling to Minot State University 74-67. Earlier this season, the Beavers fell to the Dragons, 90-60, behind an 18-point, 10-rebound double double from Rodrick Payne. Kabine Kaba led the Dragons in rebounding with 12 that game.
The Golden Eagles have just one game left for the season as they traveled to University of Minnesota Duluth earlier this week, facing a 95-78 loss. The beavers took down the Golden Eagles back in early December, 87-77.
John Pecarich posted 34 against UMC while the Golden Eagles' top scorer of the night, Kazadi Mukoma Jr., found 26 on his stat line. Spencer Swenson led UMC under the rim with seven rebounds.
