GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Bemidji State University Women's Tennis team faced a tough weekend, suffering two defeats with identical scores of 0-7 against University of Sioux Falls and University of North Dakota at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D., Sunday.
In the match against Sioux Falls,
Mia Leshem lost at No. 1 singles and also fell at No. 2 doubles alongside
Paula Garcia Acebal, who lost at No. 2 singles and was part of the No. 1 doubles pair that was defeated. Ana Lucia Ibanez recorded a loss at No. 6 singles and participated in a losing effort at No. 3 doubles. The Beavers struggled as USF dominated throughout, clinching a sweep.

In their following match against North Dakota, the Beavers again struggled, unable to capture a single victory. Leshem faced a challenging match at No. 1 singles, finishing with a score of 1-6, 2-6. Garcia Acebal also lost at No. 2 singles with a score of 4-6, 2-6, while Ibanez finished her match at No. 6 singles with a 3-6, 0-6 result. In doubles play, the Beavers dropped all three matches, with Leshem and Garcia Acebal competing at No. 1, but unable to secure a win.
