SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Bemidji State University Women's Tennis team fell to the University of Sioux Falls 4-0 Friday at Match Pointe in the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament. The Cougars claimed the doubles point with two match victories and then claimed the first three matches to secure the 4-0 win and move on to the next round. Bemidji State finishes the 2026 season with a 10-8 record.

The Beavers dropped the doubles point as they were unable to secure a victory on any court. On court No. 1, the pair of
Mia Leshem and
Marla Davies match was unfinished.
Paula Garcia Acebal and
Lauren Rutten were defeated 1-6 on court No. 2.
Valesca Rodriguez and Ibanez ended their match at No. 3 doubles with a 1-6 score.

In singles play, the Beavers continued to struggle. Leshem was defeated in straight sets 3-6, 1-6 at No. 1 singles. Garcia Acebal's match at No. 2, was unfinished. Davies, playing at No. 3 singles, was bested 2-6, 2-6.

Further down the lineup, Rodriguez at No. 4 singles was unfinished. Rutten at No. 5 singles was also unfinished, while Ibanez concluded the Beavers' effort with a 2-6, 2-6 defeat at No. 6 singles. The overall result was a loss for Bemidji State, as the match ended with a final score of 4-0.
