BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Men's Basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee has announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Jacob Martin. Martin joins the Beavers for the first collegiate coaching stint of his career.
 
Martin, a 2021 graduate of the University of Northwestern- St. Paul with a degree in accounting, comes to BSU with three years of professional playing experience in Atlanta, Ga., the Dominican Republic and Germany. At UNW, Martin was named a two-time NCCAA Men's Basketball Scholar Athlete, as well as being named a member of the NABC Honors Court. UNW won the NCCAA National Championship during Martin's final season. 
 
Prior to joining the Beavers, Martin was the 10^th-grade coach and varsity assistant for Forest Lake High School last season. He brings with him three years of coaching with the Minnesota Grassroots Sizzle AAU program where he coached 12U-17u from 2024-2026.
