MOORHEAD, Minn. — Bemidji State University Cross Country placed fifth in the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon Twilight Friday night, with 116 points and a total time of 1:45:12, led by Sophie Rylance's 26th-place finish in 20:43.7.
 
Rylance led the listed Bemidji State finishers in 26th place with a time of 20:43.7. Ava Parks followed in 29th at 20:52.3 and Brynn Beardsley placed 30th in 20:54.9. Jazzlyn Hanenberger finished 37th in 21:11.8, Emery Wagner placed 44th in 21:29.8 and Aleena Vetsouvanh finished 59th in 22:39.6.
 
This meet was the first collegiate race for freshmen Brynn Beardsley, Ava Parks, Emery Wagner, Aleena Vetsouvanh and McKynlie Smith. Bemidji State averaged a time of 21:02.

The Beavers have a few weeks off before heading to Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sep. 25 for the Augustana University Invitational. BSU will compete in four total races before the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on Nov. 7 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
