• Fall NSIC All-Academic Team

One of 13 Beavers to appear in all 25 matches during the season and made 20 starts... Logged 1,234 minutes on the pitch, fourth-most among BSU defenders... Helped the Bemidji State backline hold opponents to just 16 goals over 25 matches and post 15 shutouts during the regular and postseason, second-most in Division II... Key contributor to the Beavers' defense that held opponents to just a .060 shot percentage... Attempted two shots.

Stepped into the lineup immediately as a freshman seeing time in all 17 matches, while starting 14 to flank BSU's backline... Was second among BSU rookies with 764 time on the pitch... Made her BSU debut in a 2-0 victory at North Dakota Sept. 3... Made her first collegiate point count logging a career-high three points on a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Wayne State Oct. 3... Her first goal as a Beavers stuck as the game-winner... The defender has a goal and an assist to sit tied for third among BSU rookies and 12th on the team in scoring... Has played a major role in a BSU defense that has allowed just 11 goals and sits second in the NSIC allowing .063 goals per match and recorded nine shutouts.

High School
Fingal comes to BSU from Saint Francis High School… A four-year letter winner for the Saints, she helped lead Saint Francis to a Mississippi 8 Conference title in 2020… She led the team in assist in 2019 and was selected to the all-conference team following the season… As a member of North Metro club program, she helped the team earn the 2018 San Diego Surf championship and Presidents’ Day Tournament championship and won the 2017 Minnesota State Cup title to earn a spot at the premier level… Her teams also made Minnesota State Cup appearances in 2018 and 2019... Has played for WPLS Fire ’98 in 2019 and 2020.

Personal: Annika Fingal is the daughter of Kristin and Derek Fingal… Majoring in Nursing… She is a three-time academic letter award winner and is a member of the National Honor Society.
