Prior to BSU: Pipenhagen was a center for the Elk River High School offense and also played defensive end... The two-sport athlete earned all-conference honors and All-Section 8 Honorable Mention... Team awards included outstanding blocker (twice), lineman of the year (twice), glue award and nails award... Earned four letters and was a captain for both the football and baseball squads.
