Bemidji State University

EJ Olszewski begins his first season as an assistant coach with Bemidji State after graduating from the program in 2018. He played two seasons with the Beavers before taking responsibility over the defensive backs.

Olszewski was a NSIC All-Conference Second Team selection in 2017 after playing in all 11 games and tying the team lead with five interceptions. He tied the program single-game record with three interceptions at University of Minnesota Crookston (Sept. 30, 2017). Olszewski finished his BSU career with 73 tackles (54 solo), 21 pass defenses, five interceptions and one defensive touchdown.

Prior to joining Bemidji State, Olszewski played two seasons at Briar Cliff College. He was a 2015 GPAC All-Conference Honorable Mention selection.

A native of Alvin, Texas, Olszewski graduated from Bemidji State during the spring of 2018 with a degree in exercise science and psychology. His brother, Gunner, is a defensive back on the BSU squad.
