Prior to BSU: Rolland was a tight end and defensive lineman on the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School team that finished with an 8-3 overall record, 4-1 conference mark that finished tied for first and made a trip to the section finals for the third consecutive season... The Ponies finished the season averaging 25.2 points per game and recorded 27 or more points on five occasions... Was named all-conference his junior and senior seasons and was a all-section choice in 2010... On the defensive side the of the ball the Ponies held their opponents to 8.6 points per game... A two-sport athlete in football and basketball... Was a member of the National Honor Society and A honor roll.
