Biography

2009 (Jr): Edholm completed one of the finest seasons by a BSU quarterback in the program’s 84-year history and became the first Beaver signal caller to pull first-team all-conference honors since Geoff Martinson was named to the squad in 2001.. The junior started each of the Beavers’ 11 games and finished the season having a hand in 33 of the Beavers’ 49 offensive touchdowns... He completed 130-of-213 pass attempts for 1,662 yards and 25 touchdowns... He was third on the team in rushing for 343 yards and eight touchdowns on 123 attempts... His 25 TD passes matched Martinson for third on BSU’s single-season touchdown passes list, while his 61-percent pass completion rate ranks third on the teams single-season charts and his 160.61 passing efficiency is second only to Martinson’s 2001 mark (165.4)... Edholm threw for a personal-best five touchdowns twice in 2009 (10/24/09 and 10/31/09), ran for three TDs (9/5/09) and rolled up 391 yards through the air versus University of Minnesota Duluth (10/31/09).

Completed the season as Bemidji State’s single-season record holder for completions (193) and completion percentage (65.2)... Passed for 2,136 yards on 193 of 296 with five interceptions... His 17 touchdown passes stand as the Beavers’ ninth-best single-season total of all time... Rushed for 195 yards, with a touchdown, to rank third on the team.
Completed a career-best 33 passes on 45 attempts for his first collegiate 300-yard game (319) in a season-opening victory at Minot State (8/28/08)... Connected with George Kadlec for a 36-yard touchdown pass--the first of young QBs career, in the same game... Finished the 2008 season passing for more than 250 yards and leading the Beavers to wins in three of their last four games.... Recorded his first three-TD game versus Minnesota  State (10/18/08)... Followed that up with consecutive three-TD outings at nationally-ranked Minnesota Duluth (10/25/08) and versus U-Mary (11/1/08)... Posted a career-long completion in the same game when he connected with Kadlec for an 85-yard touchdown strike... Gained a career-high 66 yards on the ground, which included a 50-yard scamper, at St. Cloud State (10/4/08).

2007 (Fr): Made appearances in five games in a backup role... Stepped into the starting line-up for his first collegiate start at SW Minnesota State (10/27)... Was 11-of-25 for 93 yards with two interceptions for a win in his debut... Also added 41 yards on nine carries.

2006 (RS): Sat out entire 2006 season as a redshirt.

Prior to BSU: Garnered seven letters as a three-sport participant at Anoka High School...  Started two seasons under center for the Tornadoes... Led AHS to a 7-1 record and a North Suburban Conference runner-up finish as a junior... Directed the team to a Section 7AAAAA championship in 2005 en route to a trip to the state tournament.
