2017 (Sr): Named to the All-NSIC Honorable Mention team... Started all 11 games for the Beavers totaling 53 tackles (20 solo and 33 assisted) including eight for a loss and four sacks... Set a career high with 3.5 sacks at MSU Moorhead (Nov. 11).

2016 (Jr): Played in all 12 games for the Beavers... Totaled 81 tackles (40 solo; 41 assisted) including 10 tackles for a loss (37 yards)... Recorded 2.5 sacks for a loss of 19 yards... Forced 2fumbles, recorded 1 interception (vs Minot State Oct. 15), and broke up 1 pass (vs MSU Moorhead Nov. 05)... Set career highs in tackles (11) vs MSU Moorhead (Nov. 05), solo tackles (6) at Minnesota State (Sept. 10)... Played in the 2016 Mineral Water Bowl game where the Beavers beat Washburn 36-23, being the first team in program history to win a post-season game. 

2015 (So): Played in 10 games totaling 25 tackles and five tackles for a loss… Recorded one sack for two yards and blocked one kick… Recorded a career-high seven tackles at Minnesota Crookston (Oct. 10)… Returned one punt for 23 yards at Minot State (Oct. 31). 

2014 (Fr): Played in all 11 games on special teams and linebacker... Amassed 12 total tackles (2 solo, 10 assisted) along with 0.5 tackles for a loss.

2013 (RS): Redshirted.

Prior to BSU: A three-time letterwinner and two-time all-conference honorable mention pick at Grand Rapids High School, Evans captained the Thunderhawks as a senior… Also ran the ball 85 times for a team-leading 381 yards and two touchdowns... Hibbing Daily Tribune, Grand Rapids Herald-Review and Mesabi Daily News All-Iron Range Team pick... Also an accomplished wrestler, he is a six-time letterwinner at GRHS where he has accumulated more then 200 prep victories… Evens has qualified for the Minnesota State High School Class AA Wrestling Tournament four times and advanced to the 182-pound championship match in 2012 to cap a 44-2 junior season… Was named 2011-12 Wrestler of the Year by the Hibbing Daily Tribune, Grand Rapids Herald-Review and Mesabi Daily News.
