2011 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.

Prior to BSU: Helped lead Thompson HS Tommies to a 9-1 regular season record and a trip to the North Dakota state playoffs... The Tommies went 6-0 in league play to claim a share of the league championship...

Personal: Born May 29, 1993 in Thompson, N.D... Son of Marty and Kathy Syrstad... Undecided in area of study... Younger brother of fellow Bemidji State Beaver, Bryan Syrstad.
