Played in the 2016 Mineral Water Bowl game where the Beavers beat Washburn 36-23, being the first team in program history to win a post-season game.
2015 (Jr): Played in 11 games totaling 23 tackles including 13 solo tackles… Recorded 0.5 sacks for four yards and one interception for six yards.
2014 (So): Played in all 11 games where he started two at linebacker but was also a key contributor on the Beavers' special teams... Led the team with three blocked kicks... Had 28 total tackles (6 solo, 22 assisted) along with 2.5 tackles for a loss and an interception versus Northern State (Nov. 15) which he he returned for 15 yards.
2013 (Fr): Played in seven games on special teams and as a reserve defensive back… Totaled four tackles (two solo)… Posted a season-high two tackles (one solo) versus No. 7 Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 26)... Blocked a 27-yard field goal attempt versus Minnesota Crookston (Oct. 5).
2012 (RS): Redshirted.
Prior to BSU: Tismer was a Suburban East All-Conference award winner for White Bear Lake High School as a senior... Guided the Bears to a 7-3 overall and 6-2 conference record in 2011... A captain his senior year, Tismer was named the team’s defensive most valuable player... Three-sport athlete with varsity letters in basketball (four), football (three) and track (two)... On the B-honor roll and earned the Excelling in Excellence Award at White Bear Lake High School.
