2011 (Fr): Earned a medial redshirt.

2010 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.

Prior to BSU: A three-sport standout at Spring Lake Park High School, Gerding has lettered in football, hockey and baseball... Earned all-conference laurels on the gridiron last fall... Was named as the Panthers’ most valuable player... Posted academic all-state and all-conference honors as a senior... Was selected all-conference honorable mention in hockey last winter... Was the team’s most improved player... Garnered a spot on the 2009 all-conference baseball team.

Personal: The son of Perry and Rondi Gerding… Born February 24, 1992… Gerding is majoring in environmental science.
