Prior to BSU: Koziol was an all-conference honorable mention quarterback for Lodi High School his junior and senior seasons... A captain for his final two seasons with the Bluedevils, he guided the team to a 7-1 overall and 4-1 Capital North Conference record his senior season... At quarterback his senior season, he completed 77 of his 144 attempts, threw for 1,006 yards and 12 touchdowns with six interceptions... He also rushed for 445 yards on 107 attempts (4.2 yards per carry) and four touchdowns... On the defensive side of the ball he made 23 tackles (16 solo) playing defensive back... He totaled one interception and batted down five pass attempts... Finished his career as the school record holder in rushing yards (1,200) and rushing touchdowns (14) by a quarterback... The three-sport athlete has earned nine letters (four track, three football and two basketball) and is a decorated track and field athlete, guiding the Bluedevils to a their first conference championship in program history after earning conference champion in the 100- and 200-meter dash as a junior... Also excels in the classroom as an honor roll student.
