High School
Robert Essie signs with BSU as an All-Conference selection from Mounds View High School. A member of the MVHS state tournament football team, he is also an All-State selection in wrestling and track and field.

Personal
At MVHS, Essie is a member of Black Student Union. He plans to major in Business Management and enjoys playing pickleball in his free time.
