Heidi Krueger begins her fourth season as assistant athletic trainer at Bemidji State University in 2022-23. She joined Beavers Athletics in July of 2019 to work with the women’s hockey and softball teams, in addition to assisting men’s hockey, baseball, football, volleyball, cross country, and track and field.
Krueger joined Bemidji State after two years as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, primarily working with the football, men’s and women’s golf, and softball teams. She also assisted with men’s and women’s basketball, and tennis teams at UMC, in addition to summer football camps and high school post season basketball games. Krueger was an adjunct faculty member at Minnesota, Crookston from 2018-19.
Krueger earned a Master of Athletic Training degree in 2016 from North Dakota State University. She spent two years working with Fargo North High School, Fargo South High School, NDSU Athletics, Concordia College, and Fargo Force while attaining her graduate degree from NDSU. Krueger earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2014 from Southwest Minnesota State University, graduating cum laude.
Krueger is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and American Society of Orthopedic Professionals (ASOP), is a licensed athletic trainer by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and co-published The Effectiveness of Open Repair Versus Percutaneous Repair for an Acute Achilles Tendon Rupture. She is a certified CPR/AED professional rescuer.
