Heggelund is a four-year letter-winner for the Arrows’ volleyball and girls basketball programs… She was selected to the All-Eastern South Dakota Conference Team in 2018 and led the conference this season in kills (229) and was fourth in hitting percentage (.262)… Heggelund helped the Arrows to a 24-2 record her senior season and a No. 1 seed in the SoDak 16 playoff bracket as of Nov. 13… Helped Watertown to a third place finish at the 2018 South Dakota State Volleyball Tournament… Selected as a South Dakota Adrenaline Volleyball Future 50… Member of the school’s academic honor roll in all four-years of her high school career.

Personal
Daughter of Heath Heggelund and Jennifer Schlekeway-Heggelund… Born on Oct. 23, 2001… Her father, Heath, was a basketball and track athlete at Dakota Wesleyan University while her mom, Jennifer, was a three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball and track and Dakota Wesleyan… Granddaughter of Gerald Schlekeway who is a Northern State University Athletics Hall of Fame member in football and track… When not on the volleyball court, Heggelund enjoys being outdoors and on the lake as well as being with friends and family.
