Jess Strack joined the Bemidji State Women's Hockey team as an Assistant Coach prior to the 2025-26 season. Strack joins the Beaver Hockey family after serving as an Assistant/Goaltender Coach at Merrimack College that competes in the Hockey East in Division I.  She was also the Director of Hockey Operations at Stop It Goaltending. She works specifically with the Beaver netminders, while also assisting with other assistant coaching, hockey operations, and recruiting.

Strack expanded her international coaching experience in 2026-27, joining Hungary’s Women’s National Team as its goaltending coach.

During the 2025-26 season, Strack was one of 11 coaches to receive the Women's Sports Foundation (WSF®) Tara VanDerveer Fund for the Advancement in Coaching grant. 

Strack earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Franklin Pierce University where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and backstopped the Ravens’ women’s hockey program from 2016-20. During her time with the program, Strack was part of its transition from Division III to DI and was a co-captain of the team in 2019-20. While there she was a two-time AHCA All-American Scholar and appeared in 20 games throughout her four-year career. She posted a 9-3-0 career record including a 5-0-0 record her senior season.

Following her collegiate career, Strack played professionally with the Connecticut Whale of the former Premier Hockey Federation from 2021-23. She then served as a practice goalie for New York of the Professional Women’s Hockey League in 2024 before retiring.

Since graduating college, Strack has coached at numerous elite goaltending clinics.  She has also both evaluated and coached goaltenders with USA Hockey’s MN and  MA High Performance Festivals and 15s National Development Camp.
