COVID-19 season... Appeared in all three matches for the Beavers in the spring of 2021, starting each match on the BSU backline... Contributed her first collegiate assist and point in a 6-0 victory over MSU Moorhead to open the season... Was an anchor of a defensive unit that posted two shutouts and allowed just one goal in three matches... The defense allowed just 18 shots (6.0 spg), six shots on goal (2.0 sogpg) and finished the season with a 0.36 goals-against average.

Mortensen started seven of the 21 matches in which she appeared... Totalled 904 minutes.
2017 (Fr)
Mortensen played in 16 matches for BSU totaling 507 minutes... Was a key reserve for a defensive unit that posted 12 shutouts in 20 matches, which included a 377:18 shutout streak to open the season... In all, the BSU defense allowed just 213 shots in 20 matches (10.65 spg) and 98 (4.9 sogpg) shots on goal... Protected a goalkeeping duo that ranked second in the league in goals allowed (0.50) and goals allowed average (0.48).
High School
Mortensen came to Bemidji State after a prep soccer career at Eastview High School… She was selected as an All-South Suburban Conference honoree and earned her team’s Lightening Award… Her club soccer career with Dakota Rev allowed her to compete at a high level across the region and even overseas… She helped her club to third place at the 2015 Dana Cup in Denmark and an eighth place finish in the 70-team at the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Emma Grace Mortensen is the daughter of Nate and Holly Mortensen… Born April 22, 1999… She earned academic letters during each of her four years of high school and was an all-conference academic award winner in 2016… She is also a member of the National Honor Society… Is a nursing major at BSU.
