Prior to BSU...
Avery is a three-year letterwinner for the Rogers High School girls hockey program as well as girls soccer and golf programs… All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection in hockey and soccer and honorable mention in golf… Currently leads the Royals with four points off two goals and two assists through five games… Helped the Royals to a 12-13-1 record in 2022-23 and section 5AA quarterfinal appearance after leading the team with 33 points off 19 goals and 14 assists… Voted team MVP in 2022-23… Rogers High School ExCel Award winner… Three-year member of the National Honor Society and four-year A-Honor Roll member.
 
Personal: Daughter of Troy and Jennifer Achterkirch… Born on August 27, 2005… Plans to major in Exercise Science while attending Bemidji State… Father, Troy, played hockey at Wisconsin-Superior and sister Ella played soccer at St. Scholastica.
