BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team will be hosting a Tuesday match against the University of Minnesota Crookston at 6 p.m.
In the Beavers (3-13, 2-6 NSIC) last meeting with Minnesota Crookston (2-14, 1-7 NSIC) they took a five-set victory.

The Beavers are paced by junior
Hallie Mertz this season who has totaled 157 kills and averages 2.75 k/s. She is followed by sophomore
Lauren Sitter and senior
Ashley East who each have 85 and 79 kills, respectively. BSU is hitting .131 as a team and are led by senior
Ashley East who is hitting .236.
Assisting on the attacks this season has been
Hally Holker and
Emily Wade. Together they have assisted on 458 points with Holker on 236 and Wade with 222.
On defense, junior
Lauren Justesen leads BSU with 154 digs and is ninth in the NSIC with a 3.95 d/s average. Behind Justesen is
Ashley Crowl with 129 digs and Mertz with 113. Junior
Rylie Bjerklie leads BSU at the net with 34 blocks while senior
Rylee Pompa has been a part of 28.
This is the first of three home matches for Beavers this week. They will continue action on Friday and Saturday as they take on Concordia University St. Paul and Minnesota State University, Mankato.
