BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University Baseball interim head coach Matt Ellinghuysen announced the commitment of four student-athletes for the Beavers' upcoming 2024 season during the NCAA's early signing period Wednesday, Nov. 9. Cooper Anderson (Ham Lake, Minn.), Ben Corradi (Bemidji, Minn.), Josh Kirby (Des Moines, Iowa) and Will Zellmann (Bemidji, Minn.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play baseball for the Beavers next fall and spring.
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
 
The 2024 signing class for Ellinghuysen is made up of one infielder, two outfielders and one pitcher.
 
* Cooper Anderson – 6-0 – OF – Ham Lake, Minn. (Blaine HS)
Anderson is a 6-0 outfielder from Ham Lake, Minn., and is a letterwinner for the Blaine High School Bengals… During 2022 summer ball, he slashed .408/.474/1.045 and slugged .571 with two doubles and three triples… Defensively he had a fielding percentage of 1.000 in 17 chances and three assists.
 
Personal: Son of Mike Anderson and Colleen Brazier… Born on July 11, 2005… Currently undecided on a major when attending Bemidji State.
 
* Ben Corradi – 5-10 – IF – Bemidji, Minn. (Bemidji HS)
Corradi is a 5-10 infielder from Bemidji, Minn., and is a letterwinner for the Bemidji High School Lumberjacks… Corradi is a two-year captain for the Lumberjacks, was selected as the newcomer of the year as a sophomore and a Silver Slugger his sophomore and junior seasons.
 
Personal: Son of Chris and Stephanie Corradi… Born on June 30, 2004… Plans to major in Political Science when attending Bemidji State.
 
* Josh Kirby – 6-2 – RHP – Des Moines, Iowa (Des Moines Lincoln HS)
Kirby is a 6-2 right-handed pitcher from Des Moines, Iowa and is a letterwinner for the Des Moines Lincoln High School Rails… Kirby is a three-year varsity captain and All-CIML Second Team selection… He features an 88mph fastball velocity.
 
Personal: Son of Jeff Kirby and Wendy Kimbley… Born on June 8, 2005… Plans to major in Marketing Communications when attending Bemidji State.
 
* Will Zellmann – 5-11 – OF – Bemidji, Minn. (Bemidji HS)
Zellmann is a 5-11 outfielder from Bemidji, Minn., and is a letterwinner for the Bemidji High School Lumberjacks… Zellmann is a varsity letterwinner for both the football and baseball programs and participated in the Babe Ruth World Series and was a defensive Gold Glove Award winner… He also competed in the Cal Ripken World Series as a 10-year old.
 
Personal: Son of Josh and Kelly Zellmann… Born on June 16, 2004… Currently undecided on a major when attending Bemidji State.
