BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team fell 2-0 to St. Cloud State University Friday evening in game one of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series at Sanford Center. The Beavers (3-9-1, 1-8-0 WCHA) were shutout by the Huskies (5-6-0, 3-6-0 WCHA) after Sanni Ahola stopped all 15 shots by the Beavers.
St. Cloud State wins its third consecutive game after Emma Gentry and Olivia Cvar each netted goals in the second period.

Bemidji State struggled offensively and totaled just 15 shots on goal while junior
Hannah Hogenson stopped 23-of-25 shots by the Huskies including a penalty shot in the third period. She falls to 2-9-1 on the season.

The Beavers earned three power plays in the game but came up empty on all three chances while SCSU earned four power plays and the Beaver penalty kill turned the Huskies away on all four chances.

The Beavers and Huskies will play the series finale tomorrow afternoon when the two teams meet again at 2:01 p.m., at Sanford Center.
