Women's Hockey falls 3-1 to St. Cloud State in series finale

Junior Anika Stoskopf nets first career goal for Beavers

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Hockey junior Anika Stoskopf scored her first career goal but the Beavers were upended 3-1 in their series finale with St. Cloud State University Saturday afternoon at Sanford Center.
 
With the loss the Beavers now fall to 3-10-1 and are 1-9-1 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play.
 
The Huskies got off to a quick start in the game and scored three unanswered goals in the first period. The Beavers could never recover from the three-goal deficit and ended up falling 3-1 in the game.
 
Bemidji State snapped its eight period scoreless drought in the third period when junior Anika Stoskopf netted her first career goal.
 
Bemidji State out-shot the Huskies 29-26 in the game but Huskies' goaltender Jojo Chobak made 28 saves to lead the Huskies to victory.
 
Junior Hannah Hogenson earned the loss in net for the Beavers after making 23 saves.
 
Bemidji State will have next weekend off from action and will be back in action Nov. 18-19 when it travels to Ohio State University.
