BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Softball head coach
Jordan Petersen announced the commitment of four student-athletes for the Beavers' upcoming 2023-24 season during the NCAA's early signing period Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Avery Amidon (River Falls, Wis.),
Jacqueline Larsen (Bloomington, Minn.),
Rylie Rasmussen (Lakeville, Minn.) and
Allie Voit (Elk River, Minn.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play softball for the Beavers next fall and spring.

All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Amidon is a three-time letterwinner for the River Falls High School girls softball program… Two-time All-Big Rivers Conference Second Team selection… Two-time varsity letter award winner… National Honor Society member and three-time academic letter winner.

Personal: Daughter of Jason and Karley Amidon… Born on July 19, 2005… Plans to major in Biochemistry while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, traveling and working with youth softball players when not on the softball field… Father Jason played baseball at Air Force Academy and University Minnesota… Mother Karley swam four years at Air Force Academy.

Rasmussen is a six-year letterwinner for the Lakeville South High School girls softball program and two-year letterwinner for the cross country program… Two-time All-South Suburban selection… Helped the Cougars reach the state tournament and played in 12U All-American games… Two-time All-Conference and All-State runner in cross country… National Honor Society member.

Personal: Daughter of Todd and Julie Rasmussen… Born on May 18, 2005… Currently undecided on a major while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys playing basketball when not on the softball field.

Larsen is a four-time letterwinner for the Bloomington Jefferson High School girls softball program, six-time letterwinner for the Nordic Skiing program and two-time letterwinner for the cross country program… All-State Third Team selection… Three-time All-Metro West selection… Team offensive player of the year… Three-year starter for the Jaguars… Four-time All-Conference selection and state qualifier in Nordic Skiing.

Personal: Daughter of Ed and Lisa Larsen… Born on June 6, 2005… Plans to major in Nursing while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys cross country running, nordic skiing, church volunteering and exercise when not on the softball field.

Voit is a five-time letterwinner for the Elk River High School girls softball program… Helped the Elks win the 2021 Section Championship and was a 2021 Minnesota State High School Softball Tournament participant… Two-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference Honorable Menation… Has totaled 35 career home runs… National Honor Society member, four-year A-Honor roll and four-year academic letter winner.

Personal: Daughter of Chad and Natalie Voit… Born on January 9, 2005… Plans to major in Nursing while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys reading, pickleball, wiffle ball, spending time with family and friends and traveling when not on the softball field.
