Albrecht drops career high 22 points in loss to MSU Moorhead

Beavers fall to Dragons 49-75

MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Men's Basketball team fell in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action to Minnesota State University, Moorhead 49-75, Friday night in Moorhead, Minn. Junior Dalton Albrecht scored a career high of 22 points to lead the Beavers (5-4, 1-3 NSIC) in the loss. 
 
Bemidji State took an early three-point lead before MSU Moorhead (8-2, 3-1 NSIC) came roaring ahead to take and hold the lead. The Beavers were struggling to connect on the night going 19-for-53, (35.8%) while the Dragons felt at home shooting over 48% (31-for-64). BSU turned the ball over 18 times and MSUM came away with 21 points off the errors.
 
Albrecht scoring almost half of the Beavers points with 22 made an impact on the night. Albrecht converted on 62% of shots way over the team's average of 35%. Brandon Christlieb was second on the team contributing eight to the total. Brayden Williams was able to dish out three assists leading the Beavers.
  
Bemidji State was able to keep up with MSU Moorhead on the glass only three shy of the Dragons' 30 rebounds. In Tate Olson's first career start he was able to make his presence known by grabbing seven rebounds for the Beavers. Albrecht was one behind the lead with six.
  
The Beavers will continue on the road tomorrow as they take on Northern State University at 6 p.m., in Aberdeen, S.D.
