Fabre, 4x200m set records at River City Rumble and Drake Relays

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Senior Analise Fabre and the 4x200-meter relay team highlighted Bemidji State University track & field's three-meet day with program records Friday. Fabre's record-setting jump came at the River City Rumble in Winona, Minn., while the Beavers' relay teams set three top-five program marks at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Fabre set the new BSU triple jump record with a fourth-place mark of 37-feet-10.00-inches, surpassing the previous mark by three-quarters of an inch. The triple jump was one of 10 total events BSU student-athletes competed in at the River City Rumble, which included Winona State University, St. Cloud State University and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Six Beavers recorded top-five finishes, including second-place finishes from freshman Shackera Douglas in the 100-meter dash and sophomore Mary Goodwin in the 5000m run. Douglas set a personal record with a time of 12.72 in the event and also set a personal record of 26.48 in the 200m dash to take fifth. Goodwin recorded the program's eighth-best time in the 5000m run at 19:24.61 during her first attempt ever in the race.

BSU sent three relay teams to the 112th Drake Relays while each set top-five program marks. The 4x100m relay finished fourth Friday with a time of 47.23, which ranks fifth all-time at BSU outdoors. The relay team qualified to compete in the finals held Saturday at 3:47 p.m. The 4x400m relay took 12th with a time of 3:55.55, which ranks third at BSU all-time, and the 4x200m relay finished 18th with a time of 1:43.03, which broke the previous record by over eight seconds. The previous mark was set in 1987.

In total, Bemidji State saw six personal records fall.
