BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Bemidji State University Division II athletics finished 15th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Sports standings as spring sports concluded last week. The Beavers totaled 81.3 points across men's and women's sports competing within the NSIC.
Augustana University won the All-Sports Award after amassing 226.3 points to finish 29.8 points in front of second place Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The NSIC All Sports Award is calculated by awarding the winner of each conference-sponsored championship points totaling the number of teams in that sport plus one. The next place finisher receives points totaling the number of teams less the number of places from first place. Ties in the standings at any level result in the totaling of points and equal distribution.
Bemidji State was led by its Women's Soccer and Football teams. BSU Women's Soccer claimed the NSIC regular season championship and finished second in the NSIC Conference Tournament while the BSU Football team won the NSIC North championship and shared the conference title with Augustana.
BSU's women's teams ranked 11th in the women's standings with 57.5 points while its men's teams ranked 15th with 23.8 points.
