BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Athletics Department is excited to announce the classroom successes of its 389 student-athletes during the 2025 Fall term at Bemidji State. Its 389 student-athletes combined for a 3.43 grade-point average during the Fall semester at BSU and a 3.45 cumulative GPA .
"Bemidji State Athletics is proud of our student-athletes' continued commitment to character, competition, and academic success," said Bemidji State Director of Athletics
Britt Lauritsen. "Our student-athletes truly embody what it means to be students and to invest in the process of learning in order to create change now and in the future."
80-percent of the student-athletes achieved a GPA above 3.0 with 87 or 22-percent achieving a perfect GPA of 4.0.
Bemidji State Men's Hockey lead the way with 17 student-athletes with a 4.0, 61-percent of its roster while
Women's Soccer followed with 14, 42-percent of its roster.
Bemidji State Women's Hockey also reached double digits with 13 student-athletes earning 4.0's, 50-percent of its roster.
Women's Tennis paced all teams combining for an outstanding 3.88 team GPA during the fall term with all 11 of its members earning a GPA above 3.50 and six maintaining a 4.0.
Men's Hockey once again led the men's sports with a 3.77 team GPA, with all 28 earning a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Other notables:
- Baseball achieved a team GPA of 3.20, surpassing last year's 3.13.
- Men's Golf bested last year's GPA of 3.50 combining for a GPA of 3.54 in Fall 2025.
- Volleyball surpassed last year's GPA of 3.16 by 47-points combing for a team GPA of 3.63 in Fall 2025.
- Nine of 14 teams had a GPA higher than last fall.
Located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men's hockey in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and women's hockey in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
