CLEVELAND, Ohio – The
Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced the 2025-26 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards. The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 19
th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level in NCAA championship sponsored sports.
The Beavers had 103 student-athletes on the list this year. BSU Football brought in the largest number of honorees at 18, followed by soccer with 16 and baseball with 11.
Overall, a total of 21,000-plus student-athletes were recognized from 179 institutions for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards.
Historically, 211,256 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
To qualify for this honor, the following must occur:
- The AD MUST BE a CURRENT dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.
- Student-athlete must have …
- a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work
- have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year

Located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men's hockey in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and women's hockey in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
